 (she/her) is a public affairs and communications expert specializing in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and privacy. She previously worked on cybersecurity policy for D.C. government relations firms and peace and security policy for the United Nations. Lama is also an active member of the technology policy and socially responsible technology space, as she has contributed to university research on the intersections of policy, law, and technology, published podcasts on creating an inclusive Internet, and won second place in the Internet Law & Policy Foundry’s first Policy Hackathon advocating for equitable solutions to bring broadband access to the incarcerated community. Lama is a volunteer at All Tech Is Human, where she has co-authored reports on AI and human rights, building a better tech future, and technology and democracy. She is also a current Fellow and the New York Regional Chair of the Internet Law & Policy Foundry, where she manages the organization's social media accounts, designs the graphics, and is a frequent host and moderator on The Foundry’s podcast episodes and webinars. As an emerging voice in the technology policy community, Lama has spoken at a variety of conferences and panels, including the 2023 IAPP Global Privacy Summit, where she highlighted the privacy issues unique to the youth generation. She is an active member of various Internet Governance communities, such as the IGF, EuroDIG, and SEEDIG. She is a former Steering Committee Member of Youth Coalition on Internet Governance, and the IGF Dynamic Coalition on Internet Rights and Principles. With her background in communication, international studies, and technology management, she endeavors to build bridges between various communities to solve interdisciplinary problems in technology. Throughout law school, she has interned at SentinelOne, the Future of Privacy Forum, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Goodwin Procter, and VMCA Advogados (in São Paulo, Brazil). Formerly interning (and later consulting) at the United Nations’ International Telecommunication Union, she has recently returned to the internet governance space as an ICANN Fellow for ICANN76 in Cancún, Mexico, and a member of the Non-Commercial Stakeholders Group. She has spoken on her unique view of interdisciplinary digital rights issues at several international conferences, including Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS), IAPP’s Global Privacy Summit, the California Lawyers Association’s annual Privacy Summit, and the American Bar Association’s inaugural Consumer Protection and Data Privacy Conference. She currently serves as the Vice-President and West Coast Regional Chair of the Internet Law and Policy Foundry, where she is additionally a Senior Fellow and the host/executive producer of the Tech Policy Grind podcast.

Corinne Worthington is the Research Manager at the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.). Corinne recently graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in Human Rights Studies with a focus on the policy, practices, and deployment of surveillance technology as mechanisms for discriminatory social control. Her master’s thesis investigated how the NYPD’s surveillance system targets Black communities under the guise of terrorism prevention. Previously, Corinne held positions in the Curatorial Department and Director’s Office of the Whitney Museum of American Art. She received her B.A. in Global Liberal Studies and Art History from New York University in 2019.

Aaron Greenberg is a Research Intern at the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project and a graduate student in the bioethics program at Harvard Medical School. He has a background in software engineering, having worked as an engineer and manager at the Securities & Exchange Commission and DigitalOcean. Exposure to the tech industry spurred his strong interest in the ethics of technology. In his program, he studies the societal impact of technology and how it can be used to support—or erode—civil and human rights. Outside of work, he tries to stay engaged in his community, and has volunteered with NYC organizations like Code Nation and NYC Mesh.

Dave Willner is a Non-Resident Fellow in the the Program on Governance of Emerging Technologies at the Stanford Cyber Policy Center. Willner started his career at Facebook helping users reset their passwords in 2008. He went on to join the company’s original team of moderators, write Facebook’s first systematic content policies, and build the team that maintains those rules to this day. After leaving Facebook in 2013, he consulted for several start ups before joining Airbnb in 2015 to build the Community Policy team. While there he also took on responsibility for Quality and Training for the Trust team. After leaving Airbnb in 2021, he began working with OpenAI, first as a consultant and then as the company's first Head of Trust and Safety.

Hinako Sugiyama is an international human rights lawyer and a faculty member at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she supervises the work of the International Justice Clinic. Hinako analyzes how states and companies’ conduct impacts people’s lives and ideas, particularly those placed under power, and supports them in resisting surveillance and expressing themselves more. Her tools include multidisciplinary research, litigation, and policy advocacy, as well as coalition building. Currently, she is working on issues such as targeted surveillance of journalists and human rights defenders in Sub-Saharan Africa. Before joining UC Irvine, Hinako served as a Columbia Global Public Service Fellow at Access Now and a legal intern at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Previously, she worked at an international law firm in Tokyo, leading cross-border investigations and remediation of multinational companies’ misconduct, such as corruption and fraud in Vietnam, and improving corporate compliance programs. Hinako earned her B.A. from Keio University in Tokyo, J.D. at Hitotsubashi Law School in Tokyo, and LL.M. at Columbia Law School in New York. She is a qualified lawyer in Japan and the US.

In each position, he conducted policy analysis on federal legislation and maintained a broad range of external oversight while analyzing interagency, nongovernmental, and academia policy. Claire Perhsan is the Mozilla Foundation’s EU Advocacy Lead, based in Brussels, Belgium. She has held previous roles at the NGO EU DisinfoLab and at Renaissance Numerique, a Paris-based think tank. She has contributed to the European Commission Joint Research Center's work on Hybrid Threats in the Information Domain and as a content expert for Internews on tech and civic space.
